Understanding Fertiliser Analysis:
- Under the metric system the unit of measurement is a kg
- Recommendations are given in kg/ha
- A fertiliser with the analysis 8:19:10 contains: 8% nitrogen, 19% phosphate, 10% potassium, 5% magnesium.
- So in a 20kg bag: 8% of the 20kg is nitrogen i.e. 1.25kg N, 19% of the 20kg is phosphate i.e. 4.75kg P, 10% of the 20kg is potassium i.e. 2.5kg K, 5% of the 20kg is magnesium i.e 1.25kg Mg.
Key Benefits
- Can be used all year round.
- Ideal for hedges, shrubs, trees and woody perennial plants.
- Can be used to treat plants with phosphate and/or magnesium deficiencies.
